Due to shipping sensitivity, water lotuses are only available January through April, please contact us for shipping availability after April 20. Check back with us in January 2012 for a new crop.
Water Lotus are often confused with Water Lilies, but are actually very different plants. Water Lotus are heralded by many as the premier water garden plant to have, but most people shy away from them for fear they are too delicate and difficult to manage. Lotus plants are actually very hardy once established and are perennial bloomers, however it is recommended that lotus tubers are not planted in a pond with water temps below 65-70 degrees. Water lotus also require monthly fertilization as they have a voracious appetite.
All of our water lotus plants for sale are shipped as tubers, direct from the grower to ensure freshness and health. Lotus are shipped beginning in late winter through April. Be sure your zone and water temps are suitable for the plants prior to purchase.
All plants are shipped via FedEx Monday through Wednesday. Orders after Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday. This is to prevent the likelihood of plants being stored in a warehouse over a weekend. Of course expedited shipping is available for late week orders.
