Tropical Water Lilies

Tropical water lilies require warm temperatures to bloom and can not be overwintered in a pond as they can not withstand cold water temperatures.  Our tropical lilies are available in colors as varied as blue, purple, red, pink and night-blooming and add a beautiful touch to your water garden or fish pond.

 

These lilies provide beauty to your pond as well as help it maintain an ecological balance and fight off algal blooms. Tropical water lilies accomplish this goal by shading the pond with their massive lily pads, preventing the sun from reaching algae that need it to survive and thrive. These water lilies also compete with algae for nutrients and use their roots to filter the water, helping to further cleanse the pond of organic waste.
